Dyslexia is a developmental difficulty of language learning and cognition. Children with dyslexia experience trouble in reading, spelling, writing, sequencing difficulties and even telling of time. Dyslexia ranges on a continuum from mild to severe. They have poor ability to detect and manipulate speech sounds, resulting in a weak link between sounds and their written form.
Our Dyslexia Remediation Programme (DRP) individualise intervention by focusing specifically on students’ areas of difficulty and dealing with problems as they arise during the actual learning process, maintaining the intensity of focus needed to help the student work through difficulties and developing the trust needed to free the student to accept and work on difficult areas.
